Visually detailed, handcrafted design from Finland by Laura Itkonen.
Studio Laura Itkonen

Laura Itkonen (1981) is a Finnish designer working in diverse range of design and art projects. The main focus of her work is on visually detailed, tactile architectural ceramics designed to enrich both private and public spaces.

The ideas are formed and the final products are made in her studio in Helsinki - the prototypes, the initial experiments with forms and materials and the small series of finalised products. She often combines various techniques in her work to find the most intriguing result. In her production she emphasizes quality materials and environment-friendly production.
