Hawaii Marine Animal Response (HMAR) is the largest Hawaii-based nonprofit marine species conservation and response organization. We cover the islands of Oahu and Molokai responding to endangered, threatened or protected species such as Hawaiian monk seals, sea turtles and seabirds that need help. Our work reduces animal injuries and deaths and also aids in species recovery research. Thousands of times a year, our field response, escalations, interventions, standing support, and outreach activities help us move toward our vision of Hawaii’s ocean ecosystem shared in harmony by humans and all marine species. Our team of dedicated volunteers, interns, and staff are supported by private donations, government grants, and proceeds from the sale of merchandise from this store.
