Amber Vittoria is an illustrator living and working in New York City. Her pieces focus on femininity and the female form, leveraging physical traits such as body hair, overtly extended limbs, and rounded features.
Amber is a Young Guns 15, and her work has been recognized by Print Magazine‘s 2017 New Visual Artists – 15 Under 30, It’s Nice That, Computer Arts, HuffPost, Teen Vogue, and Man Repeller. Some of her clients include The New York Times, Gucci, Teen Vogue, Man Repeller, Refinery29, Medium, Saks Fifth Avenue, Adidas, 7 For All Mankind, CB2, Framebridge, Amazon Fashion, Under Armour, and Interscope Records.
Amber Vittoria originals are first colored digitally. Then, they are printed on thin paper by a laser jet printer, to achieve an aged texture. Many of her originals include printer errors, and embrace the fragility of the digital to physical translation. She then applies all linework by hand via brush pens. The paper she uses is on the thinner side, to keep the linework tight and bleeding of the brush pen to a minimum. All pieces are on 8.5 x 11 inch paper inclusive of borders, and the border dimensions vary per piece. All pieces are signed in pencil with her 'upside-down A' and the date.
